Jim Mingee was called to the bar in 1968 and was then posted to Foreign Service posts in Japan and Hong Kong before returning to Washington, DC. There he taught law courses for a major American university and served as counsel to a Congressional committee before serving as “in house” counsel to a major international food and then a telecommunications company. He returned to private law practice in 1981 and has continued in that vein until the present time. His private practice has focused on international commercial and corporate matters, (both operational and transactional). He travels often to his wife’s home country of Thailand and operates from our Thailand and USA offices as circumstances require. He has significant experience in the areas of trademark and copyright law and is a published author in the field.
